The Polls

Polls holding steady with Liberals leading

  • Liberals 43.9% / Conservatives 37.5% / NDP 8.5% / BQ 5.3% / Green 2.3% / PPC 1.7%

The Liberals have been holding a consistent lead over the Conservatives in the polling average and would be heavily favoured to win a majority government if an election were held today. While there is some variation between pollsters concerning the size of the Liberal lead, every pollster now has the Liberals ahead by at least five points. The New Democrats and Bloc Québécois are on track to suffer significant seat losses. (CBC Poll Tracker – April 11, 2025)

The Angus Reid Institute shows the Liberals leading in voting intentions by 10 points. The Liberals also lead in Ontario, Québec, and British Columbia, and in Canada’s biggest cities. (Video: 8 min)
