Politico » Hollywood was in a panic last night and into the early hours of today after Donald Trump, seemingly out of nowhere, announced that there would be a 100 percent tariff on movies made abroad.

The “Faces of Gun Violence” memorial was installed at ATF in 2024 to remind the workforce of the human toll.

Justice Department spokesman Chad Gilmartin said that the decision to remove the portraits was not political and that officials are considering different ways to honor victims.

“The ATF will continue to honor the memory of all victims of violent crime while at the same time preserving the rights of law-abiding Americans,” Gilmartin said, referring to the Second Amendment right to bear arms.

Rwanda is in the “early stage” of talks with the Trump administration to accept migrants deported by the US, the East African country’s Foreign Affairs Minister Olivier Nduhungireh has said (BBC)

His comments come after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said last month that Washington was “actively searching” for countries that would take in “some of the most despicable human beings”.

Nduhungireh said the talks were “not new to us” as Rwanda had previously agreed to accept migrants deported by the UK.
