Prime Minister Mark Carney and The Americans have agreed to accelerate talks that aim to strike an economic and security deal “within the coming 30 days” that would end the Canada-US trade war

The commitment followed a 70-minute meeting between Prime Minister Carney and Trump at the Group of Seven summit in Canada’s Rocky Mountains.

Further Canada-US.talks are scheduled for later this week, after the global meeting is over, said Dominic LeBlanc, the federal minister responsible for Canada-US relations.
