U.S. man gets prison sentence after attempting to cross into Canada with guns

On April 26, 2023, Jonathan Ressler, a U.S. resident who attempted to illegally import two handguns and prohibited high-capacity magazines across the Canadian border, received a 30 months sentence after entering a guilty plea to the possession of loaded, restricted and prohibited firearms without a license, a criminal offence in Canada.
